Why Eevee Matters in Pokopia
Eevee and its nine evolutions are some of the most sought-after Pokemon in Pokopia. Unlike traditional Pokemon games where you evolve Eevee through stones, friendship, or location, Pokopia treats every evolution family member as a separate recruitable Pokemon. That means you need to build specific habitats and meet individual conditions for Eevee, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon — ten total entries in your Pokedex.
This guide covers exactly how to recruit each one.
How Evolution Works (It Doesn't)
The single most common misconception new players have is trying to evolve their Eevee. Pokopia has no battle system and no evolution mechanic. Each member of an evolution family exists as its own independent Pokemon with its own habitat requirements, comfort thresholds, and spawn conditions.
You recruit Vaporeon separately from Eevee. You recruit Umbreon separately from Espeon. Every Eeveelution needs its own dedicated habitat built to spec.
Getting Eevee
Eevee itself is available relatively early in the game, though it's classified as Rare rather than Common.
| Condition | Requirement | |-----------|-------------| | Region | Withered Wasteland | | Weather | All (Sunny, Cloudy, Rain) | | Time | All (Morning, Day, Evening, Night) | | Rarity | Rare | | Habitat Type | Cozy Den habitat | | Comfort Level | 3+ |
Build a Cozy Den in Withered Wasteland and raise its comfort level to at least 3. Eevee spawns in all weather and time conditions, so the only gate is the habitat itself. Once your den hits the comfort threshold, Eevee can appear on any visit. Because it's Rare, you may need to wait through a few spawn cycles before it shows up.
Tip: Place the Cozy Den near other habitats that attract Normal-type Pokemon. Higher environmental ratings in the surrounding area can speed up rare spawns across the board.
All 9 Eeveelutions — Habitat Requirements
Each Eeveelution has specific region, weather, and time requirements. Here's the full breakdown.
Vaporeon (Water)
| Condition | Requirement | |-----------|-------------| | Region | Bleak Beach | | Weather | Rain | | Time | All | | Rarity | Rare | | Habitat Type | Tidal Pool habitat | | Comfort Level | 4+ |
Vaporeon requires rain weather in Bleak Beach. If you haven't unlocked weather control yet, you'll need to wait for natural rain cycles. Once you have the Rain Dance habitat built (requires 2 Ditto Weather Saucers + Water-type food offerings), you can force rain in Bleak Beach to trigger Vaporeon spawns.
Jolteon (Electric)
| Condition | Requirement | |-----------|-------------| | Region | Rocky Ridges | | Weather | Cloudy | | Time | Day / Evening | | Rarity | Rare | | Habitat Type | Charged Stone Circle | | Comfort Level | 4+ |
Jolteon only appears during Day and Evening under Cloudy skies. Rocky Ridges is the third region you unlock, so Jolteon won't be accessible until mid-game. The Charged Stone Circle habitat requires Thunder Stones as a building material — check around elevated plateaus in Rocky Ridges for deposits.
Flareon (Fire)
| Condition | Requirement | |-----------|-------------| | Region | Withered Wasteland | | Weather | Sunny | | Time | Day | | Rarity | Rare | | Habitat Type | Volcanic Vent habitat | | Comfort Level | 4+ |
Flareon is daytime and Sunny weather only. Since Withered Wasteland is the first region, you can build toward Flareon early — but you'll need the Sunny Day habitat (2 Ditto Weather Saucers + Fire-type food) to reliably control the weather. Without weather control, Sunny days in Withered Wasteland occur roughly every 3-4 real-world days.
Espeon (Psychic)
| Condition | Requirement | |-----------|-------------| | Region | Sparkling Skylands | | Weather | Sunny | | Time | Morning | | Rarity | Very Rare | | Habitat Type | Crystal Meditation Garden | | Comfort Level | 5+ |
Espeon is one of the harder Eeveelutions to get. It requires Morning + Sunny in Sparkling Skylands (the fourth region), and it's classified as Very Rare. The Crystal Meditation Garden demands high-tier materials including Prism Shards found only in Sparkling Skylands caves. Comfort level 5 is steep — stack decorative items and compatible Pokemon nearby to boost it.
Umbreon (Dark)
| Condition | Requirement | |-----------|-------------| | Region | Withered Wasteland | | Weather | Cloudy | | Time | Night | | Rarity | Very Rare | | Habitat Type | Shadow Hollow | | Comfort Level | 5+ |
Umbreon mirrors Espeon in difficulty. Night + Cloudy in Withered Wasteland, Very Rare rarity, and a comfort level 5 threshold. The Shadow Hollow habitat uses Dark-type materials (Shadow Ore, found in underground sections of Withered Wasteland). Set your Switch 2 clock to nighttime and ensure Cloudy weather through the default state or weather manipulation.
Leafeon (Grass)
| Condition | Requirement | |-----------|-------------| | Region | Palette Town | | Weather | Sunny | | Time | Day / Morning | | Rarity | Rare | | Habitat Type | Mossy Overgrowth | | Comfort Level | 4+ |
Leafeon spawns in Palette Town, the sandbox region you unlock last. Sunny weather during Morning or Day hours. The Mossy Overgrowth habitat uses common Grass-type materials that are abundant in Palette Town, making it one of the easier Eeveelutions to build for once you reach the endgame.
Glaceon (Ice)
| Condition | Requirement | |-----------|-------------| | Region | Rocky Ridges | | Weather | Cloudy | | Time | Night / Evening | | Rarity | Rare | | Habitat Type | Frozen Grotto | | Comfort Level | 4+ |
Glaceon needs Cloudy weather during Evening or Night in Rocky Ridges. The Frozen Grotto habitat requires Ice Crystals, which drop from resource nodes in the higher-elevation sections of Rocky Ridges. Pair it near Jolteon's Charged Stone Circle to efficiently farm both Eeveelutions from the same region.
Sylveon (Fairy)
| Condition | Requirement | |-----------|-------------| | Region | Sparkling Skylands | | Weather | All | | Time | Morning / Day | | Rarity | Very Rare | | Habitat Type | Fairy Ring Grove | | Comfort Level | 5+ |
Sylveon is weather-independent but Morning/Day only, and requires the highest comfort level at 5+. The Fairy Ring Grove uses Fairy Dust, a material found near flower fields in Sparkling Skylands. Like Espeon, Sylveon's Very Rare classification means patience is required even after meeting all conditions.
Efficient Eeveelution Hunting Strategy
Rather than chasing each one individually, group your efforts by region:
Withered Wasteland (3 Pokemon): Eevee, Flareon, Umbreon. Build all three habitats in the same area. Flareon needs Sunny + Day; Umbreon needs Cloudy + Night. Eevee spawns regardless of weather or time, so it fills in naturally while you're targeting the other two.
Rocky Ridges (2 Pokemon): Jolteon and Glaceon. Both need Cloudy weather but different times of day (Jolteon: Day/Evening, Glaceon: Evening/Night). Set weather to Cloudy and you can potentially see both in an Evening session.
Sparkling Skylands (2 Pokemon): Espeon and Sylveon. Both need Morning hours. Build the Crystal Meditation Garden and Fairy Ring Grove near each other. Set weather to Sunny to unlock Espeon, then check for Sylveon (which spawns in any weather).
Bleak Beach (1 Pokemon): Vaporeon alone. Force Rain and wait.
Palette Town (1 Pokemon): Leafeon alone. Sunny + Morning/Day.
Comfort Level Tips
Several Eeveelutions demand comfort level 5, which is significantly harder than the level 2-3 most standard Pokemon need. Here's how to hit it:
- Place compatible Pokemon nearby. Pokemon of the same type boost each other's habitat comfort. Having other Fairy-types near Sylveon's Fairy Ring Grove helps.
- Add decorative items. Flower beds, lanterns, and fences each add small comfort bonuses. Stack them around high-requirement habitats.
- Upgrade your environmental rating. Each region has an overall environmental score. Building more habitats across the region raises this number, which provides a passive comfort bonus to all habitats in that region.
- Use Pokemon with the Gather skill. Assign Gather-skill Pokemon to Community Chests near your Eeveelution habitats. They'll automatically collect materials you can use for further upgrades.
